Ahead with Confidence: A Place to Grow

At Morristown-Beard, we strive to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience. The arts play an essential role in that experience by helping students develop their creativity and communication skills while they gain self-awareness and confidence.

Over the years, our performing arts programs have grown in popularity and quality. Unfortunately, all of our instrumental, choral, dance, and theatre groups-involving 80 percent of our students-share the same limited, outdated space. The new Performing Arts Center will dramatically uplift the program by giving Morristown-Beard a performance theater, full-size choral and band rehearsal rooms, a well-equipped dance studio, and much more.

As one of the MBS 200, you will fortify and invigorate something deeply important to our educational program and our students.

The new Performing Arts Center planned for Morristown-Beard includes a well-equipped performance theater where our many student groups will share their talents with the school community, their parents, and others. Audiences will hear the sounds of voices and instruments, carefully choreographed footsteps, and dramatic renditions of musicals and plays. Lectures and performances from outside groups will now be possible.

The new theater, however, also will fulfill a key need unrelated to the performing arts: we will finally have an attractive, comfortable, flexible space where our entire school community can gather. We bring students together for all-school gatherings, morning meetings, and award assemblies-and for years have made do with extremely inadequate space.

Our new Performing Arts Center acknowledges our need as well as the interactive caring community that is a hallmark of Morristown-Beard. Join the MBS 200, and help give our community a place to celebrate, a place to showcase our remarkably talented students, and a place to share.
