MS Chorus Hits the Right Notes at Oak Knoll
On November 19th, the Morristown-Beard Middle School Chorus and six other area middle schools performed at Oak Knoll School in Summit as part of a special Choral Consortium event.
The Morristown-Beard Middle School Chorus opened their performance with two Robert Louis Stevenson poems set to music: “The Moon” and “Pirate Story.” They finished their performance with variations on “Fa-La-La” which incorporated “Deck the Halls” as well as well-known classical themes. The group was directed by Bruce Van Hoven.
Morristown-Beard students also participated in the finale – “Give Us Hope” – along with students from Oak Knoll School, Newark Academy, Kent Place School, The Frelinghuysen School, Morris Plains Middle School, and Ridgedale School.
The MBS Middle School Chorus is comprised of 19 students including: Pooja Aggarwal, Hannah Benton, Zachariah Buteux, Gregory Comito, Samuel Curtis, Emily Evans, Hannah Fuller, Erin Hargrave-Kerns, Dylan Iuzzolino, Marc Kamil, Steven Karbachinskiy, Jordan Livolsi, Daniel Lombardi, Thomas Rago, Tyler Smith, William Stitt, Kayla Terry, Natalie Wetmore, and James Wilson.
