Students Compete on TV Quiz Show
The Morristown-Beard Quiz Bowl team competed against Wardlaw-Hartridge on November 18th in a cable TV quiz bowl in New York City. Students Brandon Baron ’11, Scott Geron ’10, Mackenzie Keck ’11, Alex Kronfeld ’10, and Jason Schunkewitz ’10 represented Morristown-Beard School in a first-round taping of “The Challenge” at NEP Studio 33 in Manhattan.
Although the results of the quiz show are a well-guarded secret, MBS advisor Kyle Brescher assures us that this episode of “The Challenge” is unbelievably exciting and will be aired on News 12 in February.
Last May, Morristown-Beard School registered to be in the random drawing of New Jersey high schools. “The Challenge” randomly picked 32 schools to participate from the 100 applicants. Applicants had to have taken or currently be enrolled in AP U.S. History classes and also have a strong knowledge base in math, science, current events and literature.
