Let Them Eat Crepes!
Soni Dougherty’s sixth grade French students know there are many ways to learn abut a new language and culture. Sure, you can conjugate verbs and memorize vocabulary. But sometimes true understanding can only be gained through eating.
And on January 7th that’s exactly what the class did – as they traveled to the South Street Creamery in Morristown to get a true taste of French culture and cuisine.


The students enjoyed fresh crepes, had an opportunity to practice their French, and were also given a special lesson in crepe-making.

Chocolate crepes were the overwhelming choice of the group, and by all accounts, the experience and the food were both “tres bien!”
