UPPER SCHOOL FALL PLAY AUDITIONS - THE THEATER AT FOUNDERS HALL

Auditions for the Upper School Fall Play, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, will consist of readings from the script and audition scenes will be available in the Theater Classroom (FH-123) on the first day of school. There are five female roles and five male roles. In addition, the play requires three or four male extras who appear only in one scene. Auditions are open to any Upper School student. Performances will take place the first weekend in November. For more information email Ms. Speidel in the Performing Arts Department.

Poster Art Contest for THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK -

The Performing Arts Department is looking for original artwork from Upper School students to use in the design of the poster and program cover for the fall play, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK. The winning artwork will be selected by faculty of the Performing Arts and Visual Arts Departments. Selection will be based upon the artwork’s overall impact, originality, artistic merit, effectiveness in conveying the themes of the play and suitability for use in a theatrical poster format. All photos, drawings and/or paintings must be the student’s original work and must be submitted in a digital format.

The artwork should illustrate at least one of the major themes of the play:
• The Holocaust / Anti-Semitism
• War
• Death
• Isolation / Living in Hiding
• Suffering / Hunger
• Youth / Coming of Age
• Personal Identity
• Freedom

Submitted photographs, or photos of artwork in other media, must be at 300 pixels per inch formatted as either JPG, TIF, or GIF files and should be in CMYK color mode, not RGB. Images must be no larger than 11.25" wide x 17.25" high.
